Assistant
Professor of Geography Yu Zhou's research interests include issues
of immigration in American cities, gender and immigration experiences,
the transnational investments and transnational networks in the Pacific
Rim. She currently teaches Economic Geography, Population and Environment,
East Asia, and Geographical research methods and Cartography. She
also co-taught Immigrants and New York City for the Urban Studies
Program, and Introduction to Women's Studies in the Women's Studies
Program. She currently serves as a steering committee member in International
Studies and Asian Studies. She received her Bachelor's and Master's
in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning from Beijing University
in the People's Republic of China. Her Ph.D in Geography is from the
University of Minnesota.
